Description of the assignment
As Lead Physical Modeler, you will be part of Models & Fabrication team and work closely with designers in the HMI, Interior and Exterior Design teams with a focus on physical prototype design and build, to support and evaluate Design concepts. You will be required to Lead the work for the modelling Team with manufacturing of physical models at the studio.
The work will include.
Lead, plan and co-ordinate modelling activities and manufacturing of physical models, CMF properties, clay models, verification models, clinic models, ergo bucks, UX rigs, hard models and 3d printed parts.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
• Knowledge of modelling processes, material selection, model fabrication processes and assembly.
• Knowledge in modern studio techniques.
• Control and co-ordinate technical input for models and parts including cv spec.
• Fluent in English with the confidence to communicate efficiently and effectively.
• Liaise and plan workflow with model and fabrication teams (geometry, 3d print, milling, clay/hard modelling, trimming and paint.)
