Description of the assignment
We are looking for a CMF Designer with Strategy focus.
Qualifications and skills required for the role
E.g. degrees, years of experience, competencies needed
• CMF strategy
o work on CMF strategic topics with high focus on sustainability and innovative materials
o Create aesthetical and informative design briefs to suppliers and follow up
o Develop CMF concepts, which are translated into physical solutions and prototypes in
cooperation with our in-house trim shop and external prototype builder
o working in close collaboration with other design disciplines.
o Conduct benchmark and research, having a fact-based approach.
• CMF Development
o Create Colour, Material, Finish definition documents and safeguard CMF releases linked
to design gateways and property plans.
o Prepare physical and digital presentations. Be able to present and attend in design
reviews.
o Attend in project and engineering meetings, representing CMF for your assigned project.
o Work closely and interact with both internal as well external stakeholders.
o Liaise with R&D, Project and Marketing teams in China.
• Essential qualifications:
o Min. bachelor’s degree within Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Textile/Fashion
Design or Fine Arts.
o At least 5-10 years’ experience from industrial, product, fashion/textile or transportation
design. Work related to sustainability and research an advantage.
o Deep knowledge in design process and methodology as well CMF development process.
o Strong communicator with good presentation skills, both verbally and visually.
o Fluent in English. Knowledge in Mandarin is an advantage.
